TE instructors cours
Ok, so you're a martial arts Blackbelt. Maybe you're bored & feel like you're in a rut. Maybe you have come to the realisation that what you have studied isn't much good for self defence. Maybe you like what you're teaching but want to be able to increase your student base. Maybe you just want to be the only person in your area teaching Reality Based Self Defence. There are many reasons why you could find yourself reading this!
Back in around 1988 I found myself looking outside my 'mother art' looking for a new challenge. I was bored & was looking for something different, it happens to many of us. The best thing I did was take off my blinkers & widen my horizons.
So here's the deal. If you are a minimum of 1st dan, with a minimum time served of 5 years (the minimum time my students serve before reaching blackbelt, I'm not being nasty but if you got your Blackbelt in 2 years you have been totally ripped off by a McDojo & you just don't have the knowledge or experience I'm looking for) then you can join our family & start on our apprentice programme.
Unlike some of the Krav courses out there we won't make you an instructor over a weekend. The course is modular & consists of 6 unarmed, & 6 skill-at-arms modules & will take you around a year to complete. Once you've completed the unarmed course & are performing at the required level we will certify you as an apprentice instructor & allow you to open a training group. You will then have to complete the Skill-at-arms course.
So why Tactical Edge over the myriad other systems out there all offering Instructors Courses. Well, firstly Tactical Edge has longevity. The Israeli systems were all designed to be taught to citizen soldiers in a short period of time, & were fine for that purpose. However, they haven't got the depth to provide training & exploration over a long period of time. Because their methods were designed to be taught quickly they are pretty rudimentary, & if you have the time to devote to training there are far more sophisticated (not complicated- know the difference) methods available. The same is true of the WW2 based systems.
Tactical Edge is a conceptual system, not technique based. It is constantly evolving & growing. It has a syllabus which covers the full spectrum of defensive combat, & provides a fascinating exploration of the worlds combat methods. Other systems advertise that their 'techniques have been used by special forces blah blah blah'. What they are trying to do is to make you think that their style is currently used by SF, but in actual fact they're bullshitting you as they are really meaning that some of the techniques they teach are from military combatives taught sometime between WW2 & now. Tactical Edge is currently used by elements of UK Special Forces, & I am still an instructor with UKSF! The thing is, to a civilian whether a system is used by Special Forces or not makes not one bit of difference, as the threats faced by the two are totally different; & the force ladders employed are a gulf apart.
What we'll give you is a great system with longevity that students will love whether they're newbies or experienced martial artists from other styles. You'll have a unique system that is different to what anyone else around you is teaching. You'll have a product that WORKS in the real world. As a member of our family we will supply you with professional quality promotional material, free refresher training, cut price seminars & total backup. We won't try to control you & treat you like a child that can't be trusted not to burn their fingers; & WE WON'T RIP YOU OFF BY CHARGING YOU A FORTUNE LIKE A FRANCHISE!
